A Letter to My Clients
Some of you have been sitting in my chair for many years, and some of you have only just found us, but either way, I thought it might be nice to share a little bit of my story with you.
My journey started back in 1991. I was 22 years old and had been hairdressing for 7 years. After spending some time down south, I came back home and got a job in a barbershop in Birkenhead. I worked there for about 12 months and realised how much I loved barbering.
I remember thinking, I can do this.

One day, I drove past a shop with a flat above it on Poulton Road. I had no big responsibilities at the time, so I took a chance and went for it. I worked in that shop for 4 years and lived above it for 2 or 3 of those years. It was hard work, long days, and a lot of learning, but I loved every minute.
After that, I rented a shop over the road and was there for around 7 years. Then I got the opportunity to buy the shop where I am now. That was a big step and a lot of pressure, but I took it — and somehow, here I am 35 years later.
Over the years, I’ve watched so many of you grow up, bring your children in, and even your grandchildren. What started as just a job became my life, and the shop became like a second home.
So whether you’ve been coming for 30 years or it’s your very first visit, thank you for supporting me, trusting me, and being part of this journey. It really does mean more than you probably realise.
35 Years of Just 4 Men Barbers Wallasey
This shop has been part of Wallasey for over three decades, and in that time it has become more than just a place to get a haircut.
For many people, our Wallasey barbershop is:
• Where they had their first haircut
• Where they came before their first day at school
• Where they came before their prom
• Where they came before their wedding
• Where they now bring their own children for haircuts
That means everything to us.
